About
The Worcester Chamber Music Society is dedicated to the musical education of our youth. We visit public and private schools each year with formal concerts, workshops, and our special Very Open Rehearsal program. In addition, we provide free concert tickets to area senior centers and assisted living facilities.
“In our discussions about what we had learned and experienced, my students surprised me with their excitement and want for the ensemble to return. The WCMS had struck a chord with my students. They started to see that classical music is not just for “old rich people”, but could be something much more exciting.”
Michael Thibodeau, Music Director
North High School, Worcester
“Observing accomplished musicians practice, make and correct mistakes, and adjust their play was a great model for both our high school and sixth grade students.”
James F. O’Shea, Principal
The Bromfield School, Harvard
“The members of WCMS gave a priceless gift to our students during their visit. Our young, under-privileged boys witnessed real living, breathing testaments to the pay-off of hard work and dedication. We, as a school community, are grateful to Peter Sulski and his colleagues for their positive impact”
John Schnell, Director of Music
The Nativity School, Worcester
